Choose the Path Less Travelled (The Hard One)

When I first wrote the title, I thought to myself, "hmmm...this is some good click bait" (hahahahahaha).

Then I thought about it even more and came to the conclusion that it's really a deep statement.

The fact of the matter is that mastering the ability to "push through" and do the tough stuff is a hidden key to greatness...

Everyone has a "comfort zone" and most people prefer to LIVE within their comfort zone.

For example...

  • eating the same foods

  • going to the same places

  • visiting the same spots

  • shopping at the most comfortable mall/outlet store.

  • daily/weekly routines

On the surface, this doesn't seem like a bad thing. I mean, I think we could all agree, it's nice to have certain "comforts" that we expect and/or look forward to.

However, isn't it also possible that we are missing out on something more?

HOW DO WE GET OUTSIDE THE COMFORT ZONE?

  1. There Is No Improvement Without Challenge: as a musician you cannot practice 1 scale over and over and neglect learning the others

  2. Meaningful Life Changing Improvements Take Time: the things that have the biggest payoff and are meaningful will take some time to accomplish. It forces us to confront the urge to quit and continue working toward our goal.

  3. Knowledge & Awareness: being aware that we have multiple comfort zones, not just one. It is our job to manage things like our work environment with our personal life etc etc If we are "stagnating" in one are we need to have the knowledge and awareness to identify the issue and begin to address it with a solution.

MAKE SURE YOU EXCEL THIS WEEK...

CHALLENGE YOURSELF TO DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT!!!!

DO THE HARD THINGS!!!!
