I'd argue that this is one of the most "key components" in being successful at ANYTHING!
The creative arts, music in particular, thrive on the successful communication of the participants.
Look around at the most successful Bands, Producers, Songwriters and you will find people who are very good at getting their point across in a way that is easily understandable for the other parties involved.
Not to mention, the most obvious benefit is recognizing the power and influence of how we use our words.
Think before we speak...have a clear understanding of what we say and the words we use to illustrate it.
